Jackie Rogers

Jackie Rogers originated and registered Aerobics ‘n Rhythm, Inc. in 1980, a dance exercise program using
choreographed
aerobic dance for fitness and health. Choreographed routines (with new choreography every 12 weeks) were
taught
throughout New Jersey as well as Massachusetts, Ohio, Maryland, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania and even
West Germany,
employing 78 teachers. Jackie also registered and taught a choreographed stretching program and a senior
program She
took her certification with the American College of Sportsmedicine as a certified fitness instructor. She
was principal
choreographer and, along with her husband Dennis, organized dance-a-thons for the American Lung Association,
raising
over $450,000. This led to producing aerobic dancing half-time shows for the New York Giants. In 1982-1983
she, with
husband Dennis, originated and choreographed four half-time shows, including Monday Night Football,
deploying 210
teachers and students in a 10- minute aerobic dance/formation presentation. She served on the board of the
American Lung
Association and was an active member in Soroptimist International of the Greater Westfield, NJ area.
In 1995 Jackie and Dennis formed a company called DanceSport America. DSA included a membership program and
published a
bi-monthly magazine. DSA partnered with Nostalgia/Good Life TV, along with American Ballroom Company, to
produce 64 TV
shows, directed by Emmy Award Winning Director, Duke Struck.
Jackie is a Championship Adjudicator in all styles of ballroom dancing with the National Dance Council of
America, Inc.,
World Championship Master Scrutineer and World Championship Chairman of Judges.
